2 weeks post Delirium & 3 weeks until SC 24 Hour Track Race.

2 weeks post Delirium & 3 weeks until SC 24 Hour Track Race. Took 2 days off after Delirium, muscles are healing up very quickly, hardly any pain. My toe is still blistered, sore and the nail is bruised and in the process of coming off. I am very shocked how well recovery is going, after almost 80 miles in mud. By a week post Delirium I was fine, toe bruised and nail half way off, clipped what I could but isn't a bothersome any more. I decided early this week I would jump into a 10k, Cookies 10k in Berwick. Course is hilly, it was windy and I honestly didn't think I could even pull off 42 minutes because I was still in recovery stages and haven't done much of speed work since before Delirium. Beginning the 10k I told myself it's only 6.2 miles, that's it! I think from running so many long distances that my mind was stronger than my body and that kept me pushing up those hills. I ended up 4th female and 39:45, which is a 2 minute PR for me. I was happy because 3

30 Days!

Took 2 days off after Delirium, muscles are healing up very quickly, hardly any pain. My toe is still blistered, sore and the nail is bruised and in the process of coming off. I am very shocked how well recovery is going, after almost 80 miles in mud. I have 30 days now to get ready for SC 24 Hour Track Race. Which is in Florence SC on March 15. I wasn't 100% sure I would be able to run this, but seeing how well and fast I'm recovering physically and thinking more clearly after Delirium is over. Going to use Delirium as my last LONG training run.  I've asked the best ultra runners I know their opinions on what I should do over the next few weeks leading into this 24 hour event, and I'm going to use their advice mixed in with what I learned during Delirium. I ran beautiful, relaxed, and comfortable, I honestly felt amazing out there for 75+ miles. I did hit the wall about 4 times but I easily got my shit together and found positive thoughts, a good upbeat song, a hotdog,

79.67 strong to a dead stop.

Leading into Delirium I believed I had solid training under my feet. I was having feet issues heading into this race but I prayed that they would just hold up. Starting this race I took my first 5k fast, 23something, pretty sure the first 10 or 15 miles my pace stayed around 8:40s. I finally eased into a slower pace 9:30s.  The course was flat, trail, rained for a few hours, got very muddy in sections and hard to run through. I knew in the back of my head there's was no way I was going to be running out there the full 24 hours, but I believe I could possibly get sub 18 hour 100 even if I walked an hour. I think I started to fall a sleep around 35 miles, then started to run with man in the 6 hour event, we got to talking and I didn't even realize my paces were dropping sub 9 minutes again. He did well 40ish miles in 6 hours. I too reached 40 in 6 hours, told myself to slow down. I hit a wall again at this point and changed from my Hokas to my Mizunos around 46 miles bc they were
